North Florida Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure: Volunteers

IATC Volunteers Volunteers, survivors, advocates - whatever you want to call them, we couldn't function without them. We need people to make things happen.

The North Florida Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure® is a people-based organization and we rely on the kindness and hard work of our survivors and advocates to carry out our vision of a world without breast cancer. All skills are needed and greatly appreciated! Advocates for North Florida Affiliate of Komen for the Cure assist with health fairs, are members of our speaker’s bureau, assist in office work, help out with events and much more!

Our greatest need for volunteers is during October for Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Race for the Cure®.

The Komen North Florida Race for the Cure® would not succeed without the 350+ volunteers we have working the event. To learn more about vounteering for the 2010 Komen North Florida Race for the Cure® and our new Breast Health & Fitness Expo, contact Tamara Krause at tkrause@komennorthflorida.org.

UPCOMING VOLUNTEER ACTIVITIES

Ongoing: Volunteers are needed to help host breast health tables at local health & volunteer fairs. Dates are being added continually. Please contact Tamara at tkrause@komennorthflorida.org to ask about upcoming dates and availability.

We are currently recruiting for our 2-Day Expo and Race for the Cure®. Please review our Race Volunteer positions and let us know where you can help!

HOW DO I VOLUNTEER?

Volunteers who are interested in participating in any Komen North Florida activity should contact the Affiliate. To ensure you are able to participate, or to find out more about any of our upcoming activities, please do the following:

Provide the event name, date and shift you desire

Once your request has been received, you will receive additional information on how to complete your registration to become a North Florida volunteer.
